Ram TRX Fitment Guide: Year-by-Year Parts Compatibility (2021–2024)

If you own a Ram 1500 TRX, you’ve already learned the hard way that “fits Ram 1500” and “fits TRX” are not the same promise. The TRX is built on the fifth-generation (DT) Ram 1500 platform, but Ram widened the track, flared the body, and bolted on a 702-hp supercharged HEMI and a real long-travel suspension. The TRX ran as a single generation across four model years — 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024 — all on the DT platform. Unlike a truck with multiple redesigns, there’s no confusing “which body style” question here. Every TRX shares:

• 6.2L supercharged HEMI V8 — 702 hp / 650 lb-ft
• 8-speed TorqueFlite automatic and full-time 4x4 transfer case
• Bilstein Black Hawk e² adaptive shocks with roughly 13 inches of travel
• 35-inch Goodyear Wrangler Territory AT tires (325/65R18) on 18x9 wheels, 6x139.7mm bolt pattern
• Wider track and unique fender flares versus a standard Ram 1500

Because the hard mechanicals didn’t change, most engine, driveline, suspension, and brake parts interchange across all four years. The year-to-year differences are mostly trims, editions, colors, and infotainment.

What carries over from a standard Ram 1500 — and what doesn’t

This is the fitment question that trips up the most people. Here’s the honest breakdown.

Usually interchangeable with a standard Ram 1500 (DT)

• Interior trim and organizers — center console inserts, storage, and cabin accessories generally fit, since the cab is shared. A model-year-correct center console organizer is a safe example.
• Electronics and mounts — phone mounts, chargers, and most Uconnect-era accessories, with the screen caveat below.

TRX-specific — do NOT assume standard Ram parts fit

• Wheels and tires — the wider track means wheel and tire fitment follows TRX offset, not standard Ram 1500 offset.
• Suspension — the Bilstein adaptive suspension is unique. Leveling and lift components are TRX-specific.
• Fender flares, wheel-well liners, and front fascia — the flared TRX body does not share these with a standard Ram 1500.

When a listing only says “Ram 1500,” treat it as unconfirmed until you see the TRX named explicitly or match the part number.

Year-by-year: trims, editions, and what to watch

2021 — Launch year

The TRX arrived for 2021, including a limited, fully-loaded Launch Edition. Mechanicals are identical to later years, so hard parts interchange freely. The main thing to confirm on a 2021 is infotainment: early trucks may have a different screen/Uconnect revision than later years, which matters for screen protectors and dash accessories.

2022 — Editions expand

2022 added special editions (Ignition, Sandblast) that are primarily color and appearance packages — they don’t change parts fitment for suspension, brakes, or driveline. This is also where later infotainment revisions start to appear, so confirm your exact screen size when buying anti-glare film or dash mounts.

2023 — More editions, same bones

2023 continued with new appearance editions (Havoc) on the same mechanical package. Anything year-agnostic — exhaust, engine-performance, lighting — fits the same as a 2021–2022. Confirm model-year on cosmetic and electronics parts only.

2024 — Final year

2024 was the final model year for the supercharged TRX, including send-off editions. Mechanically it’s the same truck, so the used-parts market from all four years is interchangeable for the big stuff. A simple 3-step fitment check before you buy

1. Model year. Confirm the part covers your year (2021–2024). Hard parts usually span all four; cosmetics and electronics may not.
2. TRX named, not just “Ram 1500.” For wheels, tires, suspension, flares, and brakes, the listing must explicitly cover the TRX.
3. Screen / Uconnect version for electronics. Match your actual screen size before ordering film, mounts, or dash accessories.
